Shana Watkins

CMS Outreach Coordinator

Before coming to Tennessee Justice Center Shana Watkins worked for fifteen years helping Tennessee families find educational solutions for their children and navigate the complex world of mass education. She helped hundreds of parents and grandparents better understand their children’s learning styles, and coached numerous fellow educators on how to best serve children of all backgrounds and learning styles, including children who learn differently and children in need of educational enrichment.

Shana obtained a BA in English from Western Kentucky University and an MA in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Drawn to the city’s eclectic and lively music scene, Shana and her partner Robbie settled in Nashville in 2007. When they are not enjoying live music at their favorite venues, they can be found relaxing in their East Nashville home, also populated by two lovable scamp felines (Bruce and R.J.) and a veritable jungle of houseplants. Shana also enjoys sewing, crocheting, and gardening. You can reach Shana at swatkins@tnjustice.org.
