MARY CLAIRE GRIFFIN

Jesuit Volunteer Client Advocate

Mary Claire is from Cohasset, Massachusetts, a small sea-side town about 30 miles south of Boston. She recently graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, with a degree in History and a minor in Religious Studies.

Mary Claire is currently one of two Jesuit Volunteers at TJC. Her commitment to being a person “for and with others” was cultivated at Holy Cross and is lived out in her service to TJC. One of her favorite memories at Holy Cross was planning and marching in a protest from campus to downtown Worcester, promoting the dignity and worth of migrants and refugees. She is passionate about public policy, and prior to her role as a Healthcare Client Advocate, she worked on Capitol Hill, interning for her congressman and witnessing the functions of the government up-close.

In her free time, Mary Claire enjoys spending time outside (although she is adjusting to the Tennessee heat!), reading, and trying out new workout classes.
