"My son Christian was born with a facial difference that causes complete blindness. He underwent his first major surgery at four days old and spent the first four weeks of his life in the NICU. By the time Christian was four, he had undergone seven major surgeries.

Christian is now eight years old. He’s learning to read braille and play the violin. He’s very curious and is always asking questions. He loves tinkering with electronics and figuring out how vehicles work. He loves to laugh and play with his little brother.

Christian has been on TennCare his whole life. It helps cover the cost of his surgeries, feeding tube supplies, hospital visits, and necessary therapies. I’ve had to jump through countless hoops to make sure he continues to receive aide. But I’m grateful for TennCare. Christian would not be where he is today without the necessary intervention TennCare helped provide."
