HEALTH ADVOCACY INTERN
Part-Time Position | Based in Nashville, TN | Unpaid internship

For over 28 years, we at the Tennessee Justice Center (TJC) have been standing with Tennessee families and helping them access basic necessities of life. Every day our courageous team works hard on behalf of and in partnership with Tennessee individuals, families, and communities.

We are currently seeking interns to assist our health advocacy team in its efforts to improve access to healthcare coverage for all Tennesseans. As a health advocacy intern, you will engage with partner organizations and individuals to help educate and reach relevant stakeholders in the health policy landscape. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with community trainings and events (press conferences, public forums, etc.);
Participating in organizing and lobbying (promoting sign-on letters, asking community members to write letters, etc.);
Supporting TJC’s social media efforts by posting and sharing content on various platforms
This is an ideal position for undergraduate students who wants to understand how communities can hold their government accountable and learn more about healthcare policy.
