EVENT COORDINATOR INTERN

 

Part-Time Position | Based in Nashville, TN | Unpaid internship

​TJC is looking for a detail-oriented, energetic, and organized Event Coordinator Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Operations and HR Manager to ensure seamless event execution, manage client communications, maintain facility standards, and support day-to-day operational logistics. This is a fantastic hands-on opportunity for someone looking to build a career in event management, hospitality, or operations. Please note this internship is unpaid. (10-15hrs weekly)

Typical Responsibilities include:

​

  • Ensure all incoming rental inquiries receive prompt responses and nudge Ops Manager if not. 

  • Follow up on pending inquiries that are currently "in limbo" to help drive conversion. 

  • Send post-event follow-up emails to renters to gather valuable feedback. 

  • Review rental contracts to ensure all required action items are marked off on the operational checklist. 

  • Assist in ensuring that the technical aspects of the event checklist are fully completed prior to events. 

  • Ensure event spaces are kept clean, organized, and set up properly post-event when on-site.  

  • Create and maintain an up-to-date inventory log of all rental items, ensuring they remain in good working order. 

  • Conduct facility checks and notify the manager immediately of any maintenance issues needing attention (e.g., restroom malfunctions, walls needing touch-ups). 

  • Maintain accurate records and track bookings made through Peerspace. 

  • Keep the internal event tracker updated to ensure all milestones and targets are met.

  • Assist with other operational, administrative, and event-related tasks as assigned by the manager.

 

This job might be for you if:

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. 

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Basic technical aptitude and comfort with scheduling, tracking software, and general digital tools. ​

  • A positive, team-player attitude with a passion for delivering great client experiences.
