Middle Branch Lunch & Learn: Educating the Public to Expand the Healthcare Advocacy Tent

Join the NASW-TN Middle Branch and Shana Watkins from the Tennessee Justice Center for Educating the Public to Expand the Healthcare Advocacy Tent. This event will explore current healthcare challenges facing Tennessee communities, discuss advocacy and civic engagement strategies, and highlight the role of lived experiences in creating meaningful change.

Participants will receive 1 hour of CEU credit. This event is free for NASW members, and there is a $15 fee for nonmembers. 

Shana Watkins is the Director of Health Policy for the Tennessee Justice Center. Shana uses her 15-year background as an educator to make healthcare advocacy more inclusive for all Tennesseans, especially those with limited literacy or education. She holds a M.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
