CHILD-HUNGER INTERN

 

Part-Time Position | Based in Nashville, TN | Unpaid internship

We are looking to hire a Child Hunger Intern to help mobilize our network to advocate for policies and programs that fight child hunger. If you’re passionate about ending child hunger and enjoy organizing and mobilizing advocacy campaigns—this could be the job for you. 

​

A typical day might look like:

​​

• Knowledge of and willingness to learn more about the nutrition assistance programs (SNAP, WIC, School Meals, etc.) 

• Sharing information about child nutrition related programs 

• Growing our network of child nutrition partners with an emphasis on our Parents Fighting Hunger coalition 

• Contacting partners, parents, and school leaders to gather information, stories, and learn more about some of the issues they face 

• Organizing anti-hunger campaigns to raise awareness, improve food access, and promote positive legislation 

• Staying up to date on policies and programs related to child nutrition 

 

This job might be for you if:

• You enjoy forming relationships with new partners

• You are passionate about ending child hunger in Tennessee

• You have experience presenting on webinars and organizing advocacy campaigns

• You flourish on a small team where all hands-on deck is the norm
