
Jonathan Steen
Jonathan Steen is the Medical-Legal Partnership Director at West Tennessee Legal Services, where he leads efforts to integrate legal advocacy into healthcare settings to address the social and legal barriers that harm health. Working alongside medical professionals, he helps provide comprehensive legal support for challenges such as unsafe housing, denied benefits, and domestic violence—improving health outcomes and fostering stability for families in West Tennessee.
A civil litigator for more than 30 years, Jonathan is a past president of the Tennessee Bar Association and a member of the Tennessee and American Bar Foundations. He serves on the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee and is a past president and current member of the Howell Edmunds Jackson American Inn of Court. He has long advocated for expanding access to justice and strengthening partnerships between the legal and medical communities to build healthier, more equitable communities.
