Reed McLean

Digital Media Coordinator

Reed is a multifaceted artist with a rich background spanning photography, visual arts, writing, music, and theater. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre Performance and Economics from Saint Louis University, where she honed her skills and passion for the arts. While in St. Louis, she founded Make Dark Days Brighter, which is a health and wellness initiative that educates artists about skills necessary to practice wholistic personal care.

Post-graduation, Reed embarked on a professional residency program with Milwaukee Repertory Theater, where she developed original arts and theater-based curriculum in both English and Spanish. Through dynamic techniques such as creative writing, storytelling, and movement exercises, she fostered developmental skills integral for young people.

Reed is excited to join TJC as the Digital Media Coordinator and work for an organization that is committed to upholding the dignity of all Tennesseans. She's hopeful to amplify TJC's mission by channeling her creative energy into showcasing the organizations' work on social media, engaging the public, and advocating for meaningful change.

Outside of work, you may find Reed spending time with friends & family, listening to audiobooks, and going on long walks with her dog.
