Owen Hendricks

Owen Hendricks is the King Nutrition Fellow at the Tennessee Justice Center. Originally from Edmonds, Washington, he graduated from the University of Portland in 2023 with a degree in Political Science and minors in Constitutional Law and History.

Driven by a strong commitment to public service and health equity, Owen previously served as TJC’s Jesuit Volunteer. He most recently worked as a Client Advocate for Insure Our Kids, where he helped families across Tennessee navigate the state’s Medicaid program and connect with vital healthcare resources.

Owen is passionate about breaking down barriers to access and ensuring that all eligible Tennesseans receive the nutrition and healthcare support they’re entitled to. As the King Nutrition Fellow, he looks forward to continuing that mission by expanding outreach and access to the SNAP program across the state.
