Nick Chesla

Jesuit Volunteer Client Advocate

Originally from Illinois, Nick graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with degrees in interdisciplinary International Affairs and History as well as a minor in Italian. At Marquette, he took several courses studying historical inequity throughout the U.S. and the role of nutrition in confronting poverty.

Inspired by his volunteer work with the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic and internship through the Les Aspin Center, Nick joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps as an opportunity to continue serving different communities while living simply with others. He now works for the Tennessee Justice Center as a client advocate specializing in SNAP casework.

Over the weekends, Nick enjoys playing board games, collecting vinyl records, working out, and watching movies with friends!
