Caroline Sprenger

Melkus Fellow

Caroline is a Client Advocate at the Tennessee Justice Center. She graduated Guilford College with a B.S. in Community and Justice Studies and Sustainable Food Systems. As a part of her studies, she worked collaboratively to carry out a Participatory Action Research (PAR) study with the Center for New North Carolinians (CNNC). CNNC offers a unique model of long term and on-site support services to refugees and immigrants in Greensboro, North Carolina. Her research involved surveying and leading group interviews with immigrants and refugees to gather their experiences at the centers.


She came to Nashville to intern and canvas with the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition. As a Client Advocate, she supports and assists clients in accessing their healthcare benefits. You can reach Caroline at csprenger@tnjustice.org.
