In partnership with Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC), we are hosting a training on Thursday, October 23rd, at 11:30AM CT focused on the intersection of immigration law, family law, and public benefits law. This training is free and open to the general public and ideal for health care providers, social workers, community advocates, and anyone that is connected to or wanting to support our immigrant neighbors.

This course will present an overview of the importance of creating a family preparedness plan for households with non-citizen parents in the event the parents face an immigrant action. Topics will include the importance of a guardianship plan for minors, what documents need to be included in the family preparation plan, and the types of benefits that may be available to minors whose parents have been removed.

Designed for the general public, attendees will leave with information they can share…
