About the event
As Tennesseans and others around the country are grappling with the ways OBBBA reduced access to healthcare, Congressional Republican leadership is strategizing to fast-track a second budget reconciliation bill. The expected deadline to pass this bill is June 1, 2026, leaving less than two months to finalize which policies will be included. Though the Budget Reconciliation 2.0 agenda revolves mainly around funding ICE and CBP, there are discussions of additional cuts to healthcare programs such as Medicaid and the ACA Marketplace.
The resolution will move through the Senate by the end of the week with the House following closely behind. Despite the quick nature of this bill, Congress is set to recess the first week of May with the hope of returning Monday, May 11th to pass the final budget reconciliation bill.
Join us on Wednesday, April 22nd at 11:30am CT, where we will walk you through some of the possible cuts in this year’s budget reconciliation bill.
