Part-Time Position | Based in Nashville, TN | Unpaid internship

For over 28 years, we at the Tennessee Justice Center (TJC) have been standing with Tennessee families and helping them access basic necessities of life. We believe that all our neighbors have value and dignity, that all deserve the opportunity to thrive, and that our laws and public policy should reflect these shared values. Every day our courageous team works hard on behalf of and in partnership with Tennessee individuals, families, and communities.

We are currently seeking interns to assist with health equity work across various teams at TJC. Our health equity work focuses on educating community members, advocates, service providers, and policymakers about the importance of health equity – ensuring that every Tennessean has access to the resources they need to be healthy – and promoting health policy opportunities to advance the goal.

As a health equity intern, you will help develop creative ways to engage the public, promote our programs and trainings, conduct research, produce written content such as factsheets, blogs, social media posts, and policy briefs on a variety of topics related to health equity. This is an ideal position for early career professionals, graduate school students, or undergraduate students who want to learn about the role of policies in addressing health disparities and hold their government accountable to advance health equity.

To Apply: Send us your cover letter and resume via email to Please include "Health Equity Intern" in the subject line of the email. This is an unpaid internship.
