HEALTH POLICY INTERN

Part-Time Position | Remote or in-person in Nashville, TN | Unpaid internship

For over 28 years, we at the Tennessee Justice Center (TJC) have been standing with Tennessee families and helping them access basic necessities of life. We believe that all our neighbors have value and dignity, that all deserve the opportunity to thrive, and that our laws and public policy should reflect these shared values. Every day our courageous team works hard on behalf of and in partnership with Tennessee individuals, families, and communities.

We are seeking interns to help with our health policy work across various teams at TJC. Our health policy work focuses on educating community members, advocates, service providers, and policymakers about the importance of health equity – ensuring that every Tennessean has access to the resources they need to be healthy – and promoting health policy opportunities to advance the goal.

As a health policy intern, you will help develop creative ways to engage the public, promote our programs and trainings, conduct research, produce written content such as factsheets, blogs, social media posts, and policy briefs on a variety of topics related to TJC’s focus areas. This is an ideal position for graduate students or undergraduate students with a background in public health or social science. In this role, you will learn how state and federal policies can address health disparities, and how to hold our government more accountable to advancing health equity.

To Apply: Please complete THIS FORM and also send us your cover letter and resume via email to slehutsky@tnjustice.org. Please include "Health Policy Intern" in the subject line of the email. This is an unpaid internship. Open to undergraduate and graduate students.
