The people of Tennessee share the belief that all humans have dignity, and we believe that our laws and public policy should reflect this shared value. TJC staff, volunteers, partners and community members work together to make things better in our state. This work takes all of us — all of our care and work and love. Sign up to hear more, volunteer, and be a part of this work.

Kids can't wait!

Making the Court More AccessibleGoing to court without a lawyer is never easy. But TJC believes that the General Sessions court can be improved so that people who are sued or evicted and do not have a lawyer can still get a fair hearing.
Share Your Story!
If you have had to defend yourself in General Sessions court against a lawsuit or eviction, we want to hear from you about your experience. Learn more about this project, and share your story with us here.
