Tennessee mothers deserve more than a pilot program

- The state responded to new reports of staggering number of new mothers who have died by extending postpartum coverage to one year.
- TSC’s Director of Children’s Health Kinika Young writes, “Extending postpartum coverage is a step in the right direction. However, let’s not lose sight of the thousands of lives that could be saved if the state expanded Medicaid to cover more than 300,000 working adults, including women of childbearing age, who are in the coverage gap.”
