Medicaid block grant proposal puts state’s children, seniors at risk

TJC Exec. Director Michele Johnson said this in response to Gov. Bill Lee’s claims that those opposed to the Medicaid block grant are misinformed: “I have spent the last 25 years standing alongside Tennessee families as they fight to get health care so a child can have a full life or a beloved grandparent can live their final chapter with dignity. Conservatively, I have 50,000 hours of work on Medicaid statewide and nationally under my belt. My colleagues and I have studied the block grant proposal carefully.”
