David Herbert

David B. Herbert was born on October 22, 1936 in Nashville, Tennessee and has been a lifelong resident. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology and received his law degree from the Nashville School of Law. He was admitted to practice before the courts in Tennessee in 1967. He is a member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations; he is a Fellow in the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Foundations. He has served on the Board of the Nashville Bar Association and as Chairman of the Tennessee Bar Foundation. Mr. Herbert is a founding Partner of the law firm of Ortale, Kelley, Herbert & Crawford in Nashville. Prior to practicing law he was an Officer in the United States Air Force serving as a Weather Officer, attaining the rank of Major; thereafter he was Secretary of Jersey Farms Milk Service, Inc. He is married to Dana Hundley and they have 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. He is a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church and has served on the Diocesan level as Chancellor and as a Deputy to the General Convention of the Episcopal Church, six times. He has received the “Bishop’s Cross” from the Diocese as an outstanding layman and has been named the honoree graduate of the Nashville School of Law in 2003.
