A Medicaid Master Class
Thursday, February 25, 2021
10:00 am – 12:00 pm CST
*CLE and CEU credits available*

Every Medicaid program has its set of problems, and TennCare is no exception.  The troubled rollout of the Tennessee Eligibility Determination System (TEDS) has been well documented, and although the state has made progress refining it, many systemic problems still remain. How many? Too many to count! Tennessee Justice Center is actively monitoring over 20 different systemic problems currently affecting enrollees and the uninsured that you should know about in 2021.
During this 2-hour webinar, our knowledgeable team will share our insights and perspectives on how to identify these coverage errors and the ways to correct them.  Specifically, you will learn how to handle:
  • Confusing and conflicting notices
  • Denials due to difficulties getting financial verifications
  • Repeated requests for the same information
  • Inaccurate member and household information reported in TEDS system
  • Newborn deeming error and related coverage gap problems
  • Unreasonable application and appeal delays
  • Erroneous denials of eligibility for former SSI recipients
  • Institutional Medicaid denials, plus much more…

In addition to the legal overview of the rules, we will share practical steps and best practices on how to navigate Tennessee’s red tape maze of Medicaid.  If you help people enroll and/or keep their TennCare or CoverKids coverage, you will not want to miss this webinar.
