Connecting Tennessee Children to School Meals

Thursday, August 18th
2 PM – 3 PM CST

According to Feeding America, 1-in-4 children in Tennessee are food insecure. It’s vital that children have access to enough nutritious food for their physical and cognitive development. As students head back to school, more food supports are available, but it’s not enough. Programs like the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and the states Direct Certification process can reach a great number of students. Join us for a conversation about improving access to school meals, why they’re important, and how we can advocate for these programs to work better at addressing child hunger.
