‘We are an unhealthy state:’ Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee says improving residents’ health must be a priority
Despite frequently touting Tennessee’s high marks on finance and credit ratings — as he did Monday while speaking to Nashville Rotary — Gov. Bill Lee conceded that the state has much work to do when it comes to improving its ranking on health.
Lee, who himself has been a member of the service organization for more than two decades, made the comment while responding to a question from Michele Johnson, executive director of the Tennessee Justice Center.
