SHAPE YOUR FUTURE.
2020 UNITED STATES CENSUS
COVID-19 UPDATE: The self-response deadline has passed.
WHAT IS THE CENSUS?
Cansus reporting is safe, easy, and will help to secure vital resources for your community. More than $900 billion per year in federal funding is allocated based on the Census count, including funding for Medicaid and CHIP, WIC, and schools. Federal funds make up about 40% of the state budget in Tennessee, and undercounting in the 2010 Census equaled a loss of $1,091 per person in our state! We #ShapeOurFuture by ensuring a #CompleteCount.
WHY SHOULD I RESPOND TO THE CENSUS?
The Census is safe and secure. Count all the young children in your home, even if they’re not related to you. The Census brings resources to your neighborhood like schools, healthcare, childcare, and transportation. The Census is easy and convenient. It takes 10 minutes online, over the phone or by mail.
