Health Reform and Tennessee
There are numerous resources explaining what the Affordable Care Act (also referred to as “Obamacare”) does and doesn’t do. If you’re curious about the health care law, we encourage you to visit www.healthcare.gov or http://healthreform.kff.org/. These sites can help explain the general changes the new law does (and doesn’t) make to the health care system nationwide.
TJC is interested in how the ACA affects Tennesseans. Our clients are people who either currently rely on Medicaid for all their health care needs or whose insurance has large gaps that Medicaid covers. Beyond the Medicaid population, TJC has a strong interest in ensuring that Tennessee’s large populations of uninsured gain access to meaningful health care.
Given TJC’s years of experience, we have a unique perspective into how the ACA will impact these various groups across Tennessee. We encourage you to research the ACA more and explore our information on what health reform means specifically for Tennessee.
