Make a Donation to the Tennessee Justice Center

TJC operates without any government funding.  We rely on the generosity of private donors and community grants to support our ongoing work.  In spite of our limited budget and size, TJC has been remarkably successful in maximizing our gains for every dollar spent.

Here’s a breakdown of what your donations support:

  • $50.00 restored TennCare for toddlers Addleigh and Kennedi of Kingston Springs, correcting a state error that had disrupted the twins’ treatment for seizure disorders.
  • $200.00 won 13-year old Trevor of Greeneville the home nursing that enables him to live with his family instead of in an institution.
  • $325.00 obtained a wheelchair for 3 year old Terrell of Memphis, removing roadblocks that had stymied his doctors and family for 7 months.
  • $400.00 won Darius of Chattanooga life-saving brain surgery that had been cancelled at the last minute when his insurance was wrongfully terminated.

These are examples of our advocacy with clients but we are engaged in numerous other advocacy efforts.  We conduct policy and budget analysis for local and national lawmakers.  We conduct extensive outreach to community centers, schools, clinics, and other organizations.  A pledge as small as $5 can help ensure that we are able to send informative materials that empower families to get their children the care they deserve.  We thank you for your generosity and support.
