Sarah Allen Paralegal
Sarah attended the University of Virginia, earning a Bachelor’s degree with Distinction in Drama and English in 2004. As an undergraduate, she was active in women’s rights and anti-war groups, and frequently traveled to Washington, DC to participate in protests, marches, and conferences. Sarah stayed at the University to complete a Master’s degree in English, concentrating in Cultural Theory and modern American texts. Her primary academic interest remains violent crime, and the ways in which the depictions of criminal behaviors in popular non-fiction influence social trends and cultural products. Since finishing graduate school, Sarah has worked for law firms in Washington, DC, and Nashville. Her experience has focused on medical lawsuits, and she is excited to use her acquired knowledge to advocate for Tennessee families. Sarah spends most every free moment reading, often at the expense of her other responsibilities. As a child, she frequently asked her mother to ground her, enabling her to read instead of playing outside with neighbors, and things have not changed. Sarah also enjoys yoga, road trips, billiards, and her darling Beagle, Lyle.
