New board members announced for Tennessee Justice Center

Nashville, TN -- The Board of Directors for Tennessee Justice Center has elected four new board members for 2006-2007, announced Michele Johnson, managing attorney for the Tennessee Justice Center. “We are very pleased to welcome these new board members, whose areas of experience and knowledge complement the talents of our existing board,” said Johnson.

Newly elected members of the Board of Directors are: Gregg Ramos, partner in the Nashville law firm of North, Pursell, Ramos & Jameson; Dr. Dwight Montgomery, pastor of the Annesdale Cherokee Baptist Church in west Tennessee, and Dr. Robert F. Miller, Nashville physician and Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical School. Nashville attorney David Esquivel, Bass Berry & Sims, joined the Board in April 2006.

Also serving on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Justice Center are: Vic Alexander, chief manager with Kraft CPAs, Nashville; Gail Vaughn Ashworth, attorney with Gideon & Wiseman, Nashville; Benjamin Barton, University of Tennessee College of Law, Knoxville; Reverend Henry Blaze, Progressive Baptist Church, Nashville; Mary Bufwack, United Neighborhood Health Services, Nashville; Susan Spear Dyer, Nashville; Bill Farmer, Farmer & Luna law firm, Nashville; Barbara Dale Holmes, Harwell Howard Hyne Gabbert & Manner PC, Nashville; Robin Miller, Geaerhiser, Peters, Locaby & Tallent, Chattanooga;  Art Rebrovick, founder of Nashville Management Group, Nashville; Marilyn Robinson, Nashville Minority Business Center, Nashville; and Dr. Taylor Wray, Nashville.    

The Tennessee Justice Center (TJC) is a non-profit public interest law firm. Its purpose is to respond to threats to the health and well-being of Tennessee’s most vulnerable citizens by being their advocate and working through the law.  TJC was established in 1996 and is located at 301 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37201.
